Mural in Maitreya Hall 

Late Joseon Dynasty

The interior and exterior walls of Geumsansa Temple’s Maitreya Hall (Mireukjeon) are adorned with magnificent murals.

A total of 187 murals has been identified, and their themes are remarkably diverse. They primarily feature images of buddhas, bodhisattvas, celestial beings, and arhats.

The background was painted in ochre, with thick outlines drawn primarily in red ochre, and the inner outlines outlined with split and wide lines. The images were then painted.

Severely damaged murals were removed from the walls, preserved, and stored separately.

弥勒殿壁画

朝鲜后期

金山寺弥勒殿内外墙上绘有华丽的壁画。

共有187幅壁画，壁画的主题丰富多样，主要有佛菩萨、天人像、罗汉像等。

将底色涂成黄土色，用赭石粉画出粗的外围线，再画出内廓线，然后作画。

损毁严重的壁画从墙壁上分离出来，经保存处理后，保管在收藏库中

弥勒殿の壁画

朝鮮後期

金山寺の弥勒殿には、内壁と外壁に華やかな壁画が描かれ、荘厳な雰囲気を醸し出している。

合計187点の壁画が確認されており、そのテーマも非常に多様である。仏菩薩をはじめ、天人像や羅漢像などが主に描かれている。

下地には黄土色が塗られ、石間硃で太い輪郭線が引かれた後、細線や墨線で内側の線が描かれ、その上に彩色されている。

損傷が激しい壁画については、壁から分離して保存処理をしてから、収蔵庫に保管されている。
