In 2007, Geumsansa Temple excavated the site thought to be Bongcheonwon District in order to build a Seon Room (Seonbang). Fragments of roof tiles, porcelain, and drainage facilities were unearthed.
The excavated roof tiles are estimated to date from the Unified Silla to the Goryeo Dynasty, further evidence of the temple’s long history.
Notably, a convex roof-end tile carved with the Chinese character “王 (king)” was unearthed between the stylobate and the drainage facility. This roof-end tile is believed to date from the mid-Goryeo period.
The entire front surface of the tile is adorned with a demon face, and the Chinese character “王” is engraved in relief.
These relics are gaining further attention as they are believed to be related either to Royal Preceptor Hyedeok or to the Wangsagak Shrine, one of the buildings in the Bongcheonwon District as listed in the Geumsansa Temple Records.

金山寺2007年为了建立禅院，对高丽时代奉天院旧址进行了调查和发掘。这里出土了瓦片及瓷片，并确认了排水设施。
出土的瓦片制作时期被推测为统一新罗至高丽时代，进一步证明了金山寺的悠久历史。
特别是基座与排水设施之间出土了“王”字瓦当，该瓦当被推测为高丽中期瓦当。
瓦当正面刻满了鬼面，其里面阳刻着“王”字。
据推测，该文物与高丽时代建造奉天院的慧德王师或《金山寺志》中记载的奉天院殿阁中的王师阁有关，因此倍受关注。

金山寺では、2007年に禅院を建立するため、高麗時代の奉天院の跡地を発掘調査した。この場所からは瓦片や磁器片が出土し、排水施設も確認された。
出土した瓦は、製作時期が統一新羅から高麗時代にかけてと推定され、金山寺の悠久の歴史を裏付けるものとなっている。
特に、基壇と排水施設の間からは「王」という文字が刻まれた軒丸瓦が出土したが、この瓦は高麗中期のものと考えられている。瓦の正面には鬼面が彫刻され、その中に「王」の字が陽刻されている。
この遺物は、高麗時代に奉天院を建立した慧徳王師、あるいは金山寺誌に記された奉天院の殿閣の一つである「王師閣」と関連するものと推定され、非常に注目されている。
